Obituary of Lynn Hampton Casseday
Jasper, Tennessee – Rev. Lynn H. Casseday, 89, passed away peacefully at his home Wednesday March 9, 2022. He was born in Masontown, West Virginia on October 5, 1932, to Roy Dale Casseday and Josephine Burell Molissee who preceded him in death along with his infant twin brothers, Dale Blaine and Daniel Wayne Casseday; sisters, Arlene Molisee and Eva Shaffer; brother, Junior Casseday.
He was an ordained minister of the Nazarene Church and pastored for over 55 years until he retired in 2009. He pastored churches in South Pittsburg, Palmer, Donelson, Chattanooga and Jasper, TN along with Panama City, FL, Hollywood, FL and Conway, AR.
He never met a stranger, loved to laugh, touched many lives with his ministry and always left you smiling. He loved Arkansas and Tennessee Sports along with Braves Baseball. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spent as much time outdoors as possible.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Kathleen Pope Casseday; daughters, Pamela (Scott) Hanson, Chattanooga, TN and Vicki (Justin) Baker, Jasper, TN; grandchildren, Blake Winstead and Haley Baker; sister, Doylene Davis, Morgantown, WV; brothers, Richard (Carolyn) Casseday, Morgantown, WV, Fred (Iva Nell) Casseday, Chattanooga, TN, Jim (Diane) Casseday, Jasper, TN, Phillip Casseday, Chattanooga, TN and Bob Casseday, Sale Creek, TN; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday March 12, 2022, at the Jasper Church of the Nazarene, 1028 Betsy Pack Drive, Jasper, TN 37347 with burial to follow in the Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Jasper Church of the Nazarene in his memory.
Visitation will be held at 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Saturday at the Church.
